Mamiya 213-372 reviews

Lens Hood for All Lenses 127mm to 250mm for RB and RZ is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 75.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Near-perfect replacement hood for 70-200 I use this Mamiya collapsible rubber lens hood as a replacement for the rigid standard Canon 70-200 2.8 lens hood and it's near-perfect. It collapses on itself quickly and can be pulled right back fully open, so no need to stop, remove a bayonet mount & reverse before stowing. With the camera/lens sitting at hip height when shouldered, the rubber helps protect both my lens from numerous bumping of furniture and walls as well as the heads of small children. It's also well-made and durable, having just replaced the same hood after six or so years of rigorous use. Only drawback--a minor one--is that it is shorter than the standard Canon hood, so that it won't block quite as much sun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent hood for Nikkor 70-200mm VRII This Mamiya 77mm No2 rubber lens hood is excellent and reliable rubber hood for 70-200mm range. Currently i use it every day and especially it is a saviour for hockey (behind the glass). The rubber is solid and will not modify, when pressing it against the glass. The good thing is that it bends, when pressed against the glass as you follow the action. You may encounter a problem when putting the lens with this folded rubber hood into your bag, or taking it out as the diameter is bigger than Nikkor's original one. As a next step it would be good to know if other Mamiya 77mm No1 rubber lens hood would fit and not cause any vignetting problems with Nikkor 24-70mm

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Protective Lens Hood I actually bought this lens hood for my Canon 70-200mm 2.8 lens. I am a professional photojournalist and that lens receives quite a bit of punishment. It pretty much stays on one of my bodies and is consistently bumping into things and cracking the UV filter. I bought this on the advice of a friend and now when it bumps something it just bounces right off because it is made of rubber.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great on my Nikkor 85 F1.4 This rubber hood is much easier to use as compared to the metal hood included with my Nikkor 85 F1.4. It provides a nice bumper around the lens for added protection. It could be a tad more rigid (preventing collapsing) when extended, but that's really not a problem. Keeps its round shape well. There's an internal support ring to keep it round around the outer rim. The lens cap fits with the hood on. Since you can collapse the hood, putting on the lens cap is MUCH easier than with the metal hood on. No vinetting problems at all. I have a Hoya HD filter on my lens with the hood over it. No vignetting problems at all. I keep this on my lens at all times. It makes the diameter a bit larger (to be expected with a collapsible hood), but my camera backpack handles it w/out problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for I bought it for a 70-200 f/2.8, I hated the stock hood, seams like it fell off every ten minutes. This Mamiya hood will not fall off, collapes for putting on or taking off of filters. I threaded it onto the UV filter I always keep on. It is a little expencive for a molded piece of rubber but if lost I would order another one, cheep insurance to protect a $1.6K lens. Note it adds 3/4per side to the width of the lens, this can cause issues in backpacks and other bags. It will not work on 17-55 without major loss of light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lens Hood I use the Mamiya lens hood on my 70mm-200mm Nikon. It is so much superior over the plactic len hood that came with the len, which never stayed on your len. It so easy to use, just put it on your len and when needed just pull it out. When done just push it in.....Haven't seen anything yet that would cause me not to like this Hood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replaced Hoods on 70-200mm and 85mm I've put one of these hoods on my Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 and Nikon 85mm f/1.4. It protects better, is more forgiving, and more compact than the plastic, flower style hood of the 70-200mm f/2.8 and the metal hood of the 85mm f/1.4.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great replacement lens hood! The standard lens hood supplied with the 70-200VR adds a good deal of length to the lens if you leave it attached in shooting position. I was searching for a way to speed up getting the lens hood from stored to shooting more rapidly, and this collapsible rubber lens hood fits the bill perfectly.
