The SMP-61 from Kurzweil is a sampling upgrade card that gives your K2661 keyboard all of the same capabilities as the K2600S series. The SMP-61 is able to sample virtually any digital or analog audio source. When the memory of your K2661 is expanded to its full capacity of 128MB, you can store approximately 25 minutes of CD-quality sound. You'll also have powerful DSP sample processing tools such as crossfade looping, mix beat, and more at your disposal.
The SMP-61 uses Kurzweil's V.A.S.T. architecture to achieve excellent sound quality for the ROM sounds and the samples. Sample rates from 29.4kHz to 48kHz are available, as well as gain control for analog sources. A 1/4" TRS jack is supplied for stereo analog input, along with two 3-pin XLR connectors that support both analog and AES/EBU digital input. An optical S/PDIF I/O connector is also provided.
