    Giottos CL1001 reviews

Lens Cleaning Kit with Small Rocket Air Blower is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 610.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Kit, Some Quality Control Issues This is one of the best kits for cleaning your lenses, but there are some issues that I have with the quality control. First, the brush bristles are very loosely held and come out very easily. This is annoying, because the bristles fall out while you are brushing the lens. Another issues is the cloth. It has a Giotto logo on it in black ink. If you get the cleaning solution on the logo and use it to wipe the lens, be very careful because the solution actually dissolves the logo, and you could be putting black ink on your lens! The Giotto air blower is the best on the market, and was the primary reason why I bought the kit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cleaning kit I purchased the Giottos kit since most of the other kits I've seen offered looked cheap and unreliable. I'm glad I made my purchase. The kit comes with everything shown in the product picture. The Rocket blower works really well for cleaning lenses, cleaning off negatives, prints, and pretty much anything else that collects dust. I don't use the brush that came with the kit just because most of the time the bristles tend to break and cause more harm than good. The lens cloth is nice and soft. I've used the cleaner and the cloth to clean my lenses, UV filters, etc and I've never had any problems with smudging or spotting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A small, very portable kit... As stated in the title, this is one small, but very portable kit that is small enough for all to carry along anywhere, anyday. Don't be fooled by the size, that's a bonus for portability, keep in mind the greatness in the ability to have almost everything you might need to clean your lenses and filters, or maybe even blast off dust from your sensor when out shooting. The only thing I didnt like about it on my kit was the loose end cap on the brush that kept coming off risking loss, but nothing that a small drop of glue couldn't fix, after all that is only needed off at the factory on assembly. I glued mine and its in place ever since.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A bargin for what you receive A great combination of products to maintain your camera. The brush alone is worth the price. Goat's hair may not sound impressive , but the tips of the hair are very fine and capable of cleaning crevices that synthetic brush filaments cannot get into. The air blower works well and controls the speed of the air. You do not want a high speed jet of air blowing and forcing dust deeper into your camera and lens. In my experience, cans of high purity compressed air still leave a residue. You can see this for yourself by directing the air on a glass surface and then examining the glass for residue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked for me The pictures from my Nikon D70 were showing dust and I ordered this kit to clean the sensor. I did some research on how to do this safely and the advice on the internet was all over the map. I found some instructional videos on youtube showing the blower method. The cost of this kit is reasonable so I thought it was worth a shot. It worked well and I used the rest of the kit (fluid, cloth & swabs) to clean my lenses. If you have dust that is really adhered to the sensor, this won't work...and I'm not comfortable touching the sensor with anything, that's a job I would give to somebody else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quite effective This is a vast improvement over blowing your lenses with a semi-open mouth, and then using your cotton t-shirt to get the dirt out. Seriously, this is a really good kit, and you will see this rocket blower in pretty much any YouTube video that teaches you how to clean the inside and outside of your lenses. The cotton swabs didn't leave any residue, the microfiber cloth is the right way to clear glass, and the other components were good. Good value for your money, get it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Blower, love the Brush I'd bought this after going for a cheap 6 dollar one at a nearby camera place because that's all they had, everything in that kit just worked extremely mediocrely so I looked at this one and decided to give it a shot. For the price and what you get it's so much better than that cheap one I purchased that I wish I would have just went with this one in the first place. The only thing I could gripe about would be the blower is kind of big for my dslr bag but it's definitely a non-issue now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Right I decided to buy this particular lens cleaning kit based on the reviews I read here. It was a good choice. I wanted something that would travel well, both the brush and blower are a nice size to fit in my medium size camera bag along with my equipment. The blower has enough strength for my needs. Giotto manufactures 2 larger size blowers, the one that comes with this kit is the small and is good enough. The lens cloth is nice too. I haven't used the liquid cleaner or q-tips so I can't comment on their effectiveness. I'm not sure if there's even enough of the q-tips to last long or where to get more if I end up using them.
