I purchased these to modify for a Buff PLM cage. Hope it works, however, they are really neat mini reflectors for umbrella use, allowing a much wider arc than a 5 cup. Going to see how they do this weekend at a studio shoot.

Hi, do you carry elinchrom rotalux softbox speedring adapter to norman lh2400 lamphead?
Unfortunately, Elinchrom does not produce a speed ring to fit the Norman LH2400 lamp heads.

I've done studio work before, but with different brands of strobes and everything was already matched together for those jobs. Recently my uncle gave me his old Norman setup (pack, 3 heads, 2 fans and some other misc stuff). I know I need stands, Pocket Wizards or comparable and of course soft boxes/modifiers... I'm having trouble piecing together exactly what I would need to purchase to mount the boxes to my LH2k heads.It appears that this piece will let me attach a speed ring onto the head, as I don't see any holes for rods or anything on this adapter (and it's only $20). What speed rings would be compatible with this specific adapter?I was also looking at the Westcott speed ring for the Norman LH2k heads and it appears to be all in one? However, I'd rather not be stuck with only being able to choose from one brand/line of boxes, though I know Westcott is decent (I worked in a camera store for several years but we didn't move that much studio lighting, mostly cheap brands).What ring would you recommend with this adapter to give me multiple options as it pertains to types of boxes available and also options regarding different manufactures?Thanks,Trevor
This adapter is going to work, but not right out of the box. You will need to grind down the inside of the adapter with a Dremel tool so it fits smoothly over the head housing. I bought two of these and they are both way too tight. Thankfully someone is helping me because I bought another system and it didn't work. You will then need to purchase the Chimera speed ring for Norman heads (see attached item). It's the only speed ring I found that fits this adapter. There are eight allen head screws holding down the inner (white) part of the ring. They are easy to remove. Remove the white, inner ring and drop in your silver adapter - it fits perfectly. I tried using the white inner ring, but it does not fit the head. I also tried a different speed ring, but the diameter was too big and the adapter slipped through. This set up is far from perfect, but this is the only configuration I have been able to come up with. I am using this set up for Photoflex rectangular boxes, but I think other boxes would work too.
