Pentax PH-RBC Overview

Lens hoods are primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact.

Dedicated lens hoods are designed to match the specific focal length of the lens it was designed for.

This is another great Pentax product. I have been using Pentax since the early 80s, and have never been disappointed. The hood minimizes external glare, improving the quality of my pictures. It fits very nicely on the lens, and snaps into place to keep it from falling off while walking. I'm glad I purchased it.

Yes, this is a bayonet type of fit/mount. It does not effect the fit of your filters and it can be reversed when not in use.

NO! this lens hood is designed to click into place on this specific lens. There are othr hoods that fit by a screw fitting that are universal
