SWAROVSKI OPTIK DCB-S Digiscoping Adapter for STS & STS HD Spotting Scopes
Key Features
  • Quick Viewing/Digiscoping Exchange
  • For Cameras w/o Filter Threads
This bracket facilitates placing a non-SLR digital camera near the eyepiece of your Swarovski STS 65mm and 80mm series spotting scope, allowing you to record the images without having anything screwed into the digital camera's filter rings.

A big, distinct advantage of this device is that it allows the camera to be quickly flipped up and out of the way for normal user observing through the eyepiece! No longer must you make the sacrifice of constantly viewing through the digital camera, because the time it takes to change between digiscoping and simply observing is minimal.

This bracket provides better rigidity than any of the camera or scope-specific adapters, and rigidity of the unit in ultratelephoto photography is always a battle. You'll need to have the recording device as close to the scope's eyepiece as possible to minimize the chance of vignetting.

As with all efforts in digiscoping, a sturdy tripod with a video-type pan/tilt head as well as a cable release or remote control for your camera are of paramount importance.  Logical choices for a tripod/head combination are indicated here as accessories, with an ascending order in price & support.
