This is a Lumedyne Action Pack Fast / X-tra Fast 200Ws Kit with extra short flash duration by B&H. Next Generation Power Packs offer the familiar simple controls that have been available from Lumedyne for over thirty years. Enhanced manufacturing techniques allow Lumedyne to offer greater reliability and accurate 7 light Battery power level indications. In addition, a 25Ws setting is available on this pack. This is a full f-stop lower than the Classic predecessors, the #065X/Z Packs.
Its main feature is an extra fast recycling time - 1.3 seconds @ 200W/s and .2 second @ 25Ws. Flash duration is 1/3000 second @ 200Ws. for those photographers who shoot with leaf-shutter cameras in bright ambient light. These features make this pack suitable for most sports events, and fashion runway photography.
Note: This pack cannot be used with the Mini Battery, and the usual number of flashes per charge of any Lumedyne battery used with this pack will be diminished by 30%. The P2XX Power Pack is not compatible with booster modules.
The flash head included in this kit can handle up to 2400Ws. The flash head has a switched modeling light that dims during pack recycle. The coiled power cord stretches to approximately 4 feet. A head extension cable or a pack-to-stand mounting bracket is available if the head is to be used at a greater distance from the power pack.
A quick trickle charger is provided with this kit, and will recharge this kit's medium battery in 5 to 6 hours.
Lumedyne will then sell you a replacement battery at a mere percentage of its replacement cost, depending on the age of the battery.
