Verbatim 94755 Reviews
The Best Quality CD's I've Fou
Hands down these are the top choice I've found for reliable burning, and also excellent compatibility with sensitive CD players. Out of the last 100 I've used, I didn't have any cause a burn failure. Totally the best!
The most reliable and easy-to-find CD-R brand as of 2024
Unfortunately there aren't many CD-R brands left, and since CD-R's have become a niche product, the overall quality of CD-R's and especially CD burners have drastically declined. They are nowhere near where they were 15 years ago. Fortunately Verbatim still produces them with their reliable Azo dye formulation. Quality control can be inconsistent - I've gotten spindles where the dye hasn't been spread evenly, looking like someone spilled something on the dye layer, and occasionally I'll see a shiny dot or two the size of pen-tip, indicating some irregularity in the surface. And sometimes there'll be some kind of residue, looking like a haze of some kind that was left behind from an evaporated substance. Most discs aren't like this, but unfortunately it happens too often, especially when it didn't happen when I bought these discs in the '00s - back then they were perfect and spotless. But the sad reality is CD-R's aren't produced as well anymore, and after trying other brands that had much worse problems than this, I had to come back to these. For now they'll do, and at least they're inexpensive.
