The Laird LTM-DVBETA is a Bidirectional Media Converter; it converts from IEEE-1394 to SDI with embedded audio and vice versa. It offers time code conversion and 12 VDC operation.
Multi-Standard
This media converter will automatically detect and accept either PAL (625/50) or NTSC (525/60) television standards.
Time Code
This device supports DVITC in the SDI data stream or separate VITC input and output for compatible decks.
Platform Support
Windows XP on the PC platform and Mac OSX is supported with this device.
Embedded Audio
Audio embedded in the SDI stream can be converted and transferred through IEEE-1394.
DC Operation
During standard operation this unit is powered via an AC power adapter; it also has a 4-Pin XLR power input that allows it to be powered by location batteries in non-AC situations.
Compact Size
Measuring less than 9" wide, this unit will fit easily on desktops and in small studio spaces. With optional equipment two units will fit side by side in one rack space.
