This is the second one of these I’ve bought. The first was several years old but no longer had a connection to ground. I bought a second one. It tested no continuity to ground when it arrived. I tracked down the issue to the connector that is at the brush end of the wire. Both were bad. I cut them off and modified the connection by adding my own screws to secure the wire. Now both have good continuity with ground. Bad design.
