Vienna Harps from the Vienna Symphonic Library (VSL) Horizon Series features two different harps. By the middle of the 19th century, instrumentation for two harps was firmly established in big orchestras. Hence the need for this library.
The first harp is taken completely from Vienna Symphonic Library Pro Edition and includes not only single note samples, but also an extensive collection of glissandos. All scales are available in major and minor keys as well as in numerous tempos and tone ranges to ensure the highest flexibility. Also, a great variety of glissandos on four strings allows for multiple combinations.
The second harp contains an even richer collection of single note samples. Besides standard playing techniques like flageolet, près-de-la-table, bisbigliando and mutes, it also contains additional pedal glissandos and articulations played with fingernails.
