Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality and Useability I just received three of these. The quality is superb and the things are very customizable. Remember, Avenger is now owned by Manfrotto. You can stick any 5/8 pole, rod, whatever through the baby pin side. There are two threads on the baby pin side, which means you can mount a top on the other end too. You just need a set screw you can get at any hardware store. I mount two of these on top of each other using that technique.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Grip Head First of all Joe McNally and Scott Kelby use Avenger, and they can easily afford the very best. But Avenger is not that pricey. This grip head is sturdy, very well built, heavy, and looks good. Nice big cushioned T handle that easily secures your boom or grip arm. Connects solidly to your stand and has two openings so you can choose which position is best for tightening to your stand. Rock solid and easily worth the price. I also have a cheap plastic version which is going in the trash. Buy this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from must have for professional usage Very sturdy, tight grip virtually unbreakable. Grips TIGHT! no slips, even holds larger diameters then recommended. I've had the plastic versions, they've broken when dropped or the handles break when over tightened. If you can break this grip you should be a pro wrestler... Only bad point is the weight. But this is for pros's.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Giving MSE a run for the money I was very pleasantly surprised by the sturdiness and quality of the grip-head. We've used it for multiple things; holding reflectors, supporting acoustic tile for a make-shift audio booth and a key-light support. It's now a permanent piece of our grip gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HEAVY DUTY: NICE! If you are looking for the most heavy duty grip head...this is it! I use mine for a scrim holder and reflector holder arm. the Grip head is also nice and heavy, so I clamp it onto the leg of my smaller lighstands as a weight! Fantastic product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as it should Well built grip head that works great with any C stand. Only gripe is that it doesn't have the grooved texture in the notches like the Matthews heads do. No problems with performance regardless.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excellent and well made, limited use While the construction is first rate, I purchased it to attach a boom arm to my Avenger Stand. Well, there is absolutely no need for it if you order a boom arm which comes with a socket to attach to the top of the stand. In fact, until I found a use for it, and the lovely people at B&H were a bit clueless as to what boom to recommend, never having recommended the Kupo boom which fits into the jaws of this perfectly, I though I had purchased an almost useless product for my purposes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nicely Made The only ting about this is the screw down is a little high for normal stand studs, and requires an extension post. Other than that, these are really nice.
