RME AEB8-O Overview

The AEB8-O from RME is an expansion daughter board that adds eight unbalanced analog outputs to any ADAT capable RME system. The later include the DIGI96/8 Series, the Hammerfall Series and the HDSP 9652.

The card operates like any other DA-converter with ADAT input, except that it is connected internally. It provides either +4dBu or -10dBV output level adjustment along with specifications that include a 106dBA signal to noise ratio and the highest suppression of PC-noise.

The AEB8-O offers four 1/4" TRS phone connectors that allow access to the eight channels via the use of regular send/return cables. Installation is easy and convenient using the supplied bracket. A card slot is not required.

Note:
Multiface and Digiface use the Hammerfall DSP PCI card. This card has no internal inputs or outputs and therefore cannot utilize any expansion boards.
