The BO9632XLRMKH from RME is an optional balanced analog breakout cable for the HDSP9632 system.
The cable originates with a 15-pin D-sub connector and terminates in four Neutrik XLR connectors (two male and two female,) a single lockable Neutrik 1/4" TRS phone connector and two MIDI 5-pin DIN connectors.
This cable should come standard with the 9632. The sound quality is notably clearer. Also the need to connect pro equipment to such a good sound card should be obvious. I noticed a little digital noise in the background when I greatly amplified the 9632's signal through the unbalanced cables. This breakout cable resolves that problem.
So I purchased the RME card for my DAW. It is a great soundcard. After a few days of using headphones I got annoyed. I noticed this Breakout cable a few weeks later. This cable is a must have to hook up balanced xlr outputs to your monitoring speakers! Plugs in easy and works like a charm. I would recommended to any serious producer, engineer, artist, etc.
