Core SWX GP-TS Overview

The Core SWX GPTS is a "hot swap" power adapter that mounts directly to your existing V-plate. Batteries are mounted side by side, so you can easily remove the depleted battery while leaving the other battery connected so there is never any down time. The GP-TS is outfitted with a 2-pin power port so that you are not limited to the cameras' own connector.

I Travel A Lot And Use 98wh Batteries. This Shark Fin Is The Perfect Solution To Help Extend Shooting Time And Allow For Hot Swapping. I Use This On A S35 RED V-Raptor.

Unit draws power simultaneously. For uninterrupted power use what is the best swap flow with the same capacity batteries?

When using the Core SWX GPTS V-Mount Hot Swap Adapter the best plan to insure there is enough power in one of the packs to facilitate a hot swap either stagger the packs when in discharge(start operating with one pack on, and then place another pack on after 10min. of usage) or exchange one of the depleted packs off the hot swap mount when 10% is remaining. This way the remaining pack will have ample power to carry the load of the rig.

If I am using Core SWX RED batteries will this adapter communicate the remaining battery % to the camera?

No. It will only display voltage. 13.2V-12.8 being the point the camera powers off. Still a great product.
