The Silk Road sample CD ROM in GigaStudio format from Sonic Implants captures the sounds of authentic melodic and percussion instruments native to the Middle Eastern leg of the illustrious trade route that spans 7000 miles from the Yellow River Valley of Eastern China, to the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
Performed by Middle Eastern musicians and utilizing methods and techniques innate to centuries of musical tradition, the Silk Road library features a vast array of multi-sampled stringed, wind and percussion instruments, totaling 442MB of data.
The CD also includes percussion loop and melodic improvisations that through imitation can be an effective starting point for creating custom music and for gaining a better understanding of the musical sensibilities inherent to the region. Seven-page documentation is included.
