Atsiã - West African Dancing Drums from Sonic Implants includes African percussion instruments belonging to the Ewe Tribe, located in the Southeastern section of Ghana in the Volta region. Atsiã means "style" or "to display" and is a social dance used in rituals and for recreation, considered by many to be one of the oldest styles of dance and music in West Africa.
This unique collection was recorded at Blue Jay Studios through an SSL console and includes 400MB of stereo samples with natural ambience, heavily multi sampled with up to four velocity samples for each different type of hit. The library also includes looped grooves of individual instruments in both 4/4 and 6/8 time.
All instrument hits and grooves were performed on authentic instruments, acquired by Joe Galeota on his many trips to Africa. Extensive 11 page documentation gives details on all the instruments and how they are played and the collection is presented in SoundFont format.
