Light Kit Bag #3 - Holds 2 Monolights with Light Stands and Accessories is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 239.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy it again. I carry the Impact Tungsten Two-Floodlight Kit with 6' Stands in this bag. It fits the entire kit with room for four bulbs, two umbrellas, gloves, clipboard, extra batteries and still has room to spare. I was worried that I wouldn't have room to put much in it, but it held everything I needed. (Of course I don't carry my camera in it, I don't feel it's padded enough for that. The camera stays with me.) It has two double, full-length zippers, but I wish I could open the zippers both ways, I don't like having to open the whole bag to get to something on the end of the zipper. And, I wish it had little pockets. But that isn't really an issue for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks Good on Paper, but Poorly Made This bag easily holds the bits and pieces for a location lighting setup utilizing speed lights, but I wouldn't recommend using this for moonlights AND light stands -- I prefer having my lights/strobes in protective cases if they are sharing the same space with my light stands. This preference precludes the use of this bag with moonlights and stands. The Achilles Heel of this case is the cheap construction -- poor stitching and flimsy zippers will soon relegate this case to the trash can. In my experience, the main flap stitching soon came apart and was then followed by the zipper failing. The final straw was when the snap hook on the shoulder strap broke (the metal hook itself, not the strap), and I was nowhere close to approaching the stated 35 pound load capacity. My advice to anyone looking for this type of bag is to look for something with heavy duty zippers, as this is usually the first thing to fail.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great for lightstands with one exception I buy one of these every year. They're perfect for what I do but they just don't hold up to the everyday rigors of a DP. It's probably not the bags fault but the seams always start busting loose after a year of use. The zippers have always held up but the seams don't elsewhere on the bag. I wish they made a heavier duty bag. I'd pay twice as much. These easily fit my arri and flolgiht light stands. I do recommend this bag. It will hold 4-5 light stands. I like how they also made a zipper on the end of the bag. I can leave the bag in the truck if I only need one or two stands. I unzip the end of the bag and pull the stands out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Use it for stands only The shoulder straps are awkwardly placed. Inside, there's room for many stands but then again, that's it. I don't see how can you place other accessories and not be worried about the handling of the bag. I don't think the term soft padding applies for the description of it. I owe another of Impact's bag which is much better because it includes Velcro for dividing sections. This one does not.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for School Use! I teach Digital Photography at a University. We have gotten about 15 of these in the last 5 years as they come packaged with the light kits we buy. I agree with the other reviewer that the shoulder strap is placed in a way that makes a full load unbalanced. However, my bigger complaint is the build quality. None of them has lasted more than 2 years. The most common problem is the zippers pull out - most often the zipper pulls off the track where the plastic loops of the zipper uncoil and the slider will not go on again. Sometimes The whole zipper track pulls off of the case itself - even when the bag is well under its carry weight. Sometimes the fabric rips and it reveals the padding and boards inside. The size is good, and the shape is good, but they are not built for repeated use. I can track how many times each case has gone out and we average 25-40 excursions per case. I am sure that not all students treat them with the care I would, but they are mostly taking the lights to and from home (we do not have battery packs for field work).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value for the price. This bag is very functional and does exactly what it is supposed to. Right now I'm carrying two Travelite 750 monolights in it with the reflectors reversed over the bulb protectors, the power cords, sync gear, a couple of grids, two 14 collapsible targets, two light stands, several umbrellas and an Apollo. I can probably fit a few more things in as well. The protection is not robust, but it is adequate if you handle your gear well. What I would have liked to have seen in it was a couple of removeable dividers so that I could tuck gear in more securely. However, since it was the cheapest bag available, I'm not too bothered. It does the job of carrying my two strobe setup in one bag ready for anything.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Bag but No dividers I purchased this bag for my Lowel Pro lights and 10 foot light stands and they all fit in here with PLENTY of room to spare.. maybe even too much room to spare.. I would say I could PROBABLY fit another 2 stands and 2 lights in here safely. My one big complaint is that there are no compartments in the bag, so your lights will scrape across your light stands and they will end up getting scratched. Also, I was worried about my bulb due to shifting in the bag, but it hasn't been broken yet, so I am not too concerned. All in all, it is a good bag for the price, but just know what you are getting when you buy it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I like it, but... This bag ought to be great. It's roomy and tough and easy to carry. There's just one thing. One of the ends is zippered, so you can open it from the end, instead of opening it up along one of the long sides, yes? The second time I opened that zipper, it broke. It's the kind of zippered opening that has two zipper pulls, so you can open it from either direction, so I was able to close the end back up with that second zipper pull. It's not a feature that I intend to use, and I DO. NOT. HAVE. TIME. to deal with returning this ginormous bag in the ginormous shipping box for an exchange, so I'm just going to live with it. But the next time I need something like this, I may shop around for a different mfr.
