Manfrotto R030,05Q reviews

Tripod Mounting Screw with Nut is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable, Quality Replacement Screw Purchased this screw to replace missing Linhof screw, after measuring one on my Bogen. It is an exact replacement for the Bogen and fits the Linhof head well. Original Bogen screw is made of brass but lacks the slot on the fine adjust knob. I presume the slot is for levering (loosening) one that is overtight, so that feature is a plus.... also sells genuine Linhof screws but those are expensive, special order and poorly described on the website. I'm a nut for OEM stuff, but was unable to figure out which Linhof would fit my head and needed a screw ASAP. Bogen quality never disappoints. I am a former pro photojournalist returning to photography after many years in Information Technology.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect engineering I saw that someone commented that theirs was loose and easy to lose. I don't know about other people's tripod heads, but mine had a non-slip rubber top that was glued onto the tripod. That rubber top has a slot in it that didn't extend all the way to the mounting hole so the screw couldn't come out. The only reason I had to replace mine was that my glue just finally failed after almost 30 years with that tripod head and I lost the mat and screw somewhere in a multi-mile, off-trail hike through a park. So when I put this back on, I used a piece of cardboard as a base, then a rubber non-slip mat used to open jars. I made sure that the slot in the cardboard didn't pass over the hole for the screw, I put on some glue, put the screw in the base and the cardboard and set it all in place. Now it is held in place just fine. Perfectly engineered solution on my tripod head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for. This fits my Bogen tripod head for my Manfrotto tripod. It screws under the plate. The tripod is from the 90s and is not a ball head, it has three adjustable knobs to change the angle. It was the exact part that I needed. These are so easy to lose, but once you buy one you start paying better attention to where it goes. This is a very unique tripod. I also need the screwing knob that locks the legs which was lost ages ago. Not necessary but would be great to have considering it is an excellent tripod. The online staff at B&H was actually very helpful in locating this product for me. At first I was told they couldn't find it, but once I insisted they located it in stock. I appreciate their online support.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just like the originals Not long ago I purchased a replacement mounting screw for a Gitzo head, and was disappointed to see that the large nut was made of plastic- and the screw assembly cost twice what this one did! This nut is all metal, with a steel screw and cast aluminum tightening nut.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exactly as shown This part was missing on a Manfrotto tripod I recently purchased used. The screw is exactly as advertised on the website, but it slips out easily from the mounting platform, so I can understand why it was lost. It holds the camera tightly, but will be tough to keep track of when the camera is not attached.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for my LifeSize Camera Used to mount a LifeSize video conferencing camera to the shelf of a wheeled Peerless cart. Safe, secure and easy to use. Could have simply used a 1/4 20 screw, but this provides the ability to easily mount & remove the camera without tools. Reasonably priced and quick delivery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does exactly what I need it to do! I had been using a less than adequate alternative to secure the spotting scope and camera to the Manfrotto tripod. After finally losing the screw I bought 2 new. Ah! It works like a dream! So secure! So easy! Thank you for giving me the right tool for the job!
