The DriveRack 480R from dbx is the master remote controller for the entire DriveRack line, capable of controlling and programming multiple 480, 442, 481 and 482 units. Multiple DriveRack units can be edited simultaneously, while the thirty-one motorized faders can instantly mirror the graphic EQ setting of any remote unit on the network.
A large LCD display provides the user with all of the processing information of a selected remote unit, including signal routing, network device ID, configuration modes, effect block editing and RTA displays. Eight mute buttons allow for muting individual outputs of the selected DriveRack unit, while a system mute button mutes all eight outputs simultaneously.
Thirty-two, instant access buttons can be programmed to recall the parameter screens most frequently used. The remote can be stationed up to five-hundred feet from the master 480, making it the perfect choice for front-of-house mixing. Additionally, the 480R has its own real-time analyzer, with a microphone input that supplies +48V phantom power, and a pink noise generator for analyzing a particular space.
The DriveRack 480R ships with a separate power supply unit that also acts as the interface for information-communication between the 480R and the master controller in a DriveRack system network.
