This works perfect, with little distortion

The Precision Optics 0.7x Wide angle for the Sony HVR-Z1U is extremely easy to attach. The only negative is the weight. Adds a considerable amount of weight to the front of the camcorder. The wide angle feature makes up for the weight however.
