I have an old Slik tripod for which I couldn't find a matching release plate on the internet. I bought this one and cut it down by about 3/32" on both sides. It works! Nothing at all wrong with the product as sold.

That plate is not compatible with the F740. The cat # of the plate is 618738, we no longer carry it but you can may find it by searching the web.

I am after 2 x Quick Release Plates for my SLIK PRO 723EZ Tripod with a SH-707E head. Will this quick release plate B&H #SLQRPSPP Mfr # 618-740 fit the SH-707E head for my tripod? Does this work for a panasonic HC-V770
It should, but keep in mind that this quick release plate does not have the stabilizing pin that the majority of video quick release plate normally have. This plate is also ONLY designed for certain Slik tripods.
