Manfrotto 319SH reviews

319SH Short Hi Hat Locking Handle is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3.5 long - Perfect Fit for Risers After discovering that the stock handle on my Manfrotto 504HD (at 5.5 long) won't fit into the Varavon Half Ball Riser I needed to mount it on, I contacted B&H to find a shorter handle.Just got this one - it fits perfectly and has the build quality I expect from Manfrotto. Really, I have no idea why the stock handle needs to be so long, as this is ideal. In case anyone's wondering (as neither I nor the guys at B&H could find the info anywhere), this handle is a total of 3.5 long (including the locking plate).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What I needed I got this for my Dana Dolly, now the tripod can roll flat on the ground.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No shorter than the handle already on the Manfrotto 502 head It's billed as the shorty handle, but in reality it's no shorter than the handle that came with my Manfrotto 502 head. Slightly disappointing, as I purchased this with a 529 Hi-Hat in order to squeeze a little more low out of the rig. But this won't allow any lower of a position than keeping the standard handle on. That being said, it IS a little more ergonomic than the setup of the other handle, so it has its uses. Just be aware that if you're looking for something shorter than a 502 series locking handle, this isn't it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does It's Job Great product, really sturdy construction, shipped fast, does exactly what it's supposed to do. Not sure why Manfrotto even bothers having their standard longer handles. That's about it, pretty good, nothing exciting, I mean it didn't save my marriage or fix my hip or anything but it does it's job exactly like it's meant to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can Do in Small Places We do a lot of commercial work with the camera getting down and low. With our hi-hat we can mount the Sachtler or Manfrotto heads and never worry about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job. Perfect for using on Dana Dolly close to the ground or with the center support bracket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even better than the real thing I bought this item as a replacement handle for my 100mm half ball that we use with our 5' MYT Slider. The handle that originally shipped was a bit longer, but when lost and needed replacement I found this gem. It's smaller and leaves less of a footprint in my bag. At first sight I was unsure if it would thread through the entire screw attached to the 100mm half ball, but rest assured it did. The price is great as well. Thanks B&H!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Why Isn't this the Standard? The product itself is fantastic, I'm honestly just frustrated that a low-profile locking handle isn't what comes with every tripod to begin with. The handle is large enough to be comfortable enough to use, and small enough to be used with many (if not most) sliders and hi-hats. While I highly recommend this, I feel like I shouldn't have to -- there's no real reason to have the larger handle in the first place.
