The long locking handle that comes stock with my tripod makes no sense to me after buying this short one. I though I'd have a problem gripping this short handle and tying it down but there's really nothing to it. The short handle should just come stock with each tripod instead. It's short enough to put your whole dana dolly rig on the floor, too.

If it is a Manfrotto head, like the 509HD, yes. This is meant to work with the 529B Hi-Hat which accepts 100mm ball heads.

The handle is 75mm. The cup is about 20mm so approximately 95mm long in total.

Yeah, i use it with that one and the benro hi hat but the benro screw ends up giving you more room

This product is designed for Manfrotto Heads, we are not aware of it being able to work with a Sachtler Ace Head.

Try the Sachtler SK012B0366 tie down for using Sachtler FSB heads on the Dana Dolly.

Hi, I did not try it on a Benro Head. I have tried it on other brands : my Sachtler and Vinten tripod bowls, it does not fit the bowls although the thread has a similar diameter. The shape of the bowl is not the same for those manufacturers.

I use it for the dana dolly when rails are on ground, it would be awful tight for anything under 4 Have made a universal plastic 3/8 threaded knob work in tighter spots....
