OctoPre LE ADA from Focusrite is a ADAT based analog to digital and digital to analog option card for the OctoPre LE microphone preamp.
This card provides digital conversion of the signals within the unit before transmitting the audio to the interface or soundcard of DAW or other recording medium that supports the ADAT Lightpipe format.
Additionally, a digital to analog converter allows the digital output of a DAW to be connected directly to the unit for monitoring purposes. All eight channels can be converted and fed to the line outputs on the rear panel, or just 1-4 and 5-8 as required.
The card also includes BNC connectors for synchronizing the OctoPre LE to external Wordclock.
A/D and D/A option card for the OctoPre microphone preamp
Inputs and outputs ADAT Lightpipe digital audio at either 44.1 or 48kHz sampling frequencies
The incoming ADAT digital signal can be routed to the line outputs on the rear panel. Two switches route either channels 1-4 of the incoming signal to the first four line outputs, while 5-8 channels are sent to the last four line outputs
With both switches engaged, all eight channels of the incoming signal are sent to all the line outputs, for 7.1 surround monitoring or analog subgroup mixing
Wordclock I/O allow for extended synchronization functions
