Key Features
- 8-24mm Focal Length
- 40-60° Apparent Field of View
- 1.25" Diameter Barrel
- Fully Multi-Coated Optics
With Celestron's 8-24mm Zoom Eyepiece you can quickly and easily go from a low magnification to high-power with a simple twist instead of taking valuable observation time to change eyepieces and filters. At the low magnification setting of 8mm its wide 60° field of view allows you to easily find your subjects or enjoy expansive views, and when dialed up to the high setting of 24mm the angle of view is still an impressive 40-degrees. Anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics ensure bright and clear high-images at any magnification, with true color rendition. The eyepiece is designed to fit any 1.25" diameter drawtube or accessory, and its slip-resistant textured collar ensures safe handling - especially in the cold or when wearing gloves - and allows for precise focal length selection. Finally, a fold-down eyecup makes for comfortable viewing with or without eyewear.

I have a Celestron TrailSeeker 80 spotting scope. It came with its own 8-24 zoom eyepiece. It's fine. But would this different 8-24 eyepiece be an upgrade? Is the quality higher? If so, great. If not, I'll stick with the original.
The 8-24mm Zoom Eyepiece that comes with the Celestron TrailSeeker 20-60-80mm spotting scope has identical specifications as the Celestron 8-24mm Zoom Eyepiece #93230.

Does this zoom attach directly to a t-ring?
Does this zoom attach directly to a t-ring?
YES, remove the eye cup and it should screw into a T2 female (M42x0.75). I have done this and taken eyepiece projection video of planets this way. --- IDK what the "no" responses are. I have a m43 camera and a lens mount adapter "T2-M4/3" (which then has a 1.25" to T2 accessory, but irrelevant.) - I have absolutely taken off the rubber eye-cup, screwed the eyepiece into the T2-M4/3 and directly attached to camera. just like a lens. Whole thing then just inserts into scope as a massive 1.25" ep contraption. (camera - T adapter - zoom eyepiece - telescope.)

Dear Qassem,

Are there t-threads behind the eyecup that a T-adapter can screw onto?
YES. it's T2 male (M42x0.75) threads under removeable eyecup. ( ignore B&H and Celestron. they are wrong ) - I've connected this EP directly to T adapter and used for video and photos.
