Enhance your subject's lighting environment with the Lastolite 48" (1.2 m) TriGrip. This TriGrip can block harsh sun, or studio light, or act as subtractor of unwanted reflected color casts.

The TriGrip replaces the traditional round reflector with a unique triangular design with a built-in handle. The TriGrip's comfortable handle allows for easy manipulation of the reflecting panel with no stand or support needed. This is especially useful when you are working alone.

The TriGrip measures ~48" (1.2 m) at its widest point, and is also available in the following colors: Gold/White, Sunlite/Soft Silver, Silver/White, Sunfire/Silver and Two Stop Diffusion.

The triangular shape combines the ability to collapse the reflector, and the ability to hold itself rigid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product, Great Purchase, No Regret This Product is Absolutely AWESOME! Having used standard circular diffusers and reflectors, I am much happier with this product. The effect is the same, but the triangular shape of this item is what makes it so great. It offers a nice hand held grip and the triangular design makes the item much sturdier when being hand held. The item does not get flimsy when rotating for that light that is just right. It's especially great if you're shooting without an assistant. I can hold the diffuser comfortably with one hand and camera in the other. Although if I would likely recommend the 30 for one-handed use. The 48 is bigger and gets a rather heavy used one handed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than a Bed Sheet If you are truly a DIY-obsessed Strobist, then this product might not be for you. But trust me, you'll be glad you sprung for this huge improvement over the bed sheet approach to the problem of diffusing harsh overhead light in outdoor shooting situations. Reasons it's better: 1) Much less bulky to carry around thanks to innovative collapsible design. 2) Can easily be held with one hand while shooting with the other (although probably optimized by having an assistant hold it). Either way, much preferred to the sheet approach, which requires at least two assistants. Haven't tried the two-stop version, and frankly can't imagine a situation where it would be necessary. This one should be all you need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works wonderfully...just as expected I'm a fan of Lastolite products. This TriGrip diffuser doesn't disappoint. It is a must have if you do outside portrait photography. If I had one criticism, it is that it doesn't come with directions on how to re-fold it. I didn't pay attention and so it took me a few tries to figure it out the first time. If you pay attention to how it is folded when you unfold it the first time, you should be able to avoid my mistake.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Durable and easy to hold with the built in handle. However this is too big to hold with one hand and shoot with the other, get the 30 for that. This is big enough to put one person in shade or 23 people head and shoulders

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great size and build quality I only gave this 4 stars because it did not come with instructions on how to fold it. My husband and I are both engineers and we fiddled with it for at least an hour trying to fold the darn thing back up. We finally found a video on their website that described how to do it, but by that point we were totally frustrated. I highly recommend watching the video before opening the product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! The diffuser is easy to handle and it provides a soft light with any kind of light (sunlight or flash).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gets the job done Use this to shoot portraits under the full sun. The 48 is great for couples or as many as three people (if they are close together). Good: Travels easy, pops out and it's ready to go. Bad: You should have an assistant hold the 48 model. It's just too big and awkward to hold it and shoot at the same time. Gets floppy in the wind but I'd rather have it flop than parachute your assistant into the next county.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A must have for location photographers Works well to soften, diffuse & slightly reduce light on the subject(s). Folds up nice & compact with a convenient & sturdy carry case. The 48 is a large panel so you won't be able to hold it & shoot, you will definitely need an assistant. I wanted this larger 48 version for shoots with 2-3 people and it will cover enough area. I also place it in front of speedlights to soften them up & works great
