Meade has improved upon the original Deep Sky Imager with this Deep Sky Imager PRO version. Using the software package included, you'll be able to hook up your telescope to your PC, direct your scope with a single mouse click, and watch the confluence of computerized star charts with live electronic imagery. But with this PRO version, sensitivity has been increased 2.3 times and resolution is a whopping 4 times greater than the original. This version is the more economical kit, which includes the RGB filter set, a valuable addition, which will bring vibrant color to your images.
Attaching the imager is as simple as inserting an eyepiece, and this can be used (without incorporating the software package) on any telescope, which uses 1.25" eyepieces.
The Autostar Suite software package contains every imaginable capacity for both guiding your scope electronically and documenting what you're seeing with stunning accuracy. You'll be able to control your scope remotely over the internet!
To utilize the Autostar Suite software, you'll need any Meade telescope with either the Autostar II or #497 Autostar computerized controllers. This includes the LX200GPS line, ETX-90, ETX-105 & ETX-125 telescopes as well as the LX90 series. You'll also need a USB port, at least 98 MB of RAM space upon your computer, a CD-ROM drive and a Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000 or XP operating system.
