We are looking for a plate like this, but it needs a 5/8 threaded female below and a 3/8 threaded male above the plate. This would allow us to use an actual survey tripod with smaller equipment that only has the 3/8 female, such as a 3d scanning head. This 358 top plate sort of looks like what we need but the descriptions are vague on it, and what exactly it is, other than supposedly requiring the 324 Survey adapter. The 324 adapter is exactly opposite of what we need. Any chance you can expound on what this 358 is and what size thread connections it has? The photo shows a plate and what appears to be a reducing bolt either from threaded to threaded or a stud to threaded.
There is no tripod plates that the bottom is 5/8 female threaded that we are aware of.I found an adapter that has the configuration but to attach a head to that is not very strong.It is designed for microphones, 3/8 Male to 5/8 Female Thread Adapter.
