The Norman 812863 battery offers twenty-five percent more flashes with no memory effect and battery life is dramatically extended. Computerized charging prevents battery heating which dramatically extends battery performance and life.

Technology has changed and Nickel Cadmium batteries can no longer be trickle charged or heated during the charging process.
Super Batteries provide twenty-five more flashes per charge with no memory effect and battery life is dramatically extended.
Our prorated battery warranty provides full replacement during the 1st year of service, 50% discount during year 2 and 25% discount during year 3.
WARNING - Charging Super Batteries with Norman's discontinued gray Thermomatic charger will severely shorten battery life and void the battery warranty.

Why can't the old original 'gray cube' charger be used to charge these so called 'super batteries'? They are still Ni-cads.

The old Norman batteries were lead acid. And the old charger is not compatible with the new NiCad batteries.

What is the life span of this battery ? and how do you dispose of it when it's not charging any longer ?

The manufacture does not give the battery a specific life span. There are many different variables like is it partially charged or full or empty and if the battery sits. This all can change the battery life of the battery.

I did buy an used Norman flash. it did come with the super batteries.the charger is the model delta V charger (Norman c55x2)I read on B&H that the super batteries are not compatible with the old Norman's grey Thermometric charger are they compatible with my model? my model is black, but it is not the newest model.regards, Felix
