The Sony SSC-E473 is a specialty day/night security and surveillance color video camera with a high technology CCD sensor. For total darkness surveillance the camera automatically turns into a black and white image capture device that requires only 0.05 Lux for detailed images. It scans over 500 lines of resolution for displaying on very high quality monitors and storage on high resolution tape or computer hard disk recorders. The camera comes with a slim design housing that protects the camera from lens to back.
Day or Night Video Capture
The SSC-E473 is a switchable color/B&W video camera designed for surveillance and security purposes. In black and white mode the camera needs only 0.05 Lux lighting to capture detailed images with over 500 lines horizontal resolution. In color mode the camera still only requires a minimal amount of light. With f/1.2 lens the unit needs a scant 0.55 Lux for very clear, lifelike and detailed images quality enough for security identification.
CCD Iris and Shutter
The camera is a smart system with a CCD sensor that has iris and shutter functions. The iris system allows the use of non-auto iris lenses that are more economical than powered lenses. The shutter function of the CCD can stop motion from 1/60 second to an amazing 1/100,000 second.
Wide Ranging Auto White Balance System
The SSC-E473 can be used as a security camera in areas with very difficult or unusual lighting situation. The white balancing system recognizes lighting colors measured from 2000°K to 10,000°K. High pressure sodium lighting, most commonly used for parking areas and roadways, measures a typical 2100°K.
