Will this hardware let me attach the large bushing on the end of my manfrotto 3-section camera arm to the small screw on the quick release plate on my tripod head? (Right now, I have the arm, but have no way to attach it to my tripod.) Thanks.
It might work but it is not recommended at all.If you are referring to the Manfrotto 131D Lateral Side Arm for Tripods (Black) B&H # MA131DB MFR # 131DB the arm is too heavy to be used with bushings and is actual meant to be screwed in the tripod direct without the head. And then heads are attached to the arm.

What tools do you need to remove the adaptor to return to the 3/8 mount?
Can I use these to attach my ballhead to a monopod thread that is smaller than your typical tripod thread? I think that it is 1/4".
