Rycote Classic-Softie Overview

The Rycote 7" Classic Softie with Lyre Mount and Pistol-Grip Kit conveniently provides both a durable pistol-grip-style mount and short-hair Softie, eliminating noise caused by windy conditions in the field. The improved design includes the InVision lyre suspension cradle, which significantly reduces shock and associated noise.

Designed as a general solution for most shotgun microphone models, the entire kit mounts to a boom stand whenever boom pole operation is desired. This kit features a 0.74 to 0.86" (19 to 22mm) hole softie that measures 7" (18cm) in length. Compatible with these microphones: Rode NTG3, Sennheiser MKH 416, ME 66 K6, MKH 418, Sanken CS-3e, AKG C568, Sony ECM 670, and Sony ECM 680S.

Solid With a Low Profile

I got this for my NTG-3. It fits great and has a low-profile. I like to keep it mounted on my boom pole in the bag. I haven't had any issues yet, but the plastic construction worries me that it might get busted up sooner than later. So far, so good though! Well worth the price tag.

Does de cradle have the same dimisiones as the InVision INV-HG mkIII?

This is actually smaller. This mount will fit microphones sized 19-22 mm. The Invi-HG MkIII fits a wider range, for mics between 19-34 mm.
