The Focus Enhancements MX-4DV is a digital video mixer with an impressive array of professional features. DV (IEEE-1394/FireWire/i.Link) input and output connections, keying, hundreds of effects, an audio mixer and a built-in frame synchronizer/TBC (Time Base Corrector) make the MX-4DV ready for a variety of production applications.
DV and Analog Connections
DV footage can easily be integrated with analog footage. The MX-4DV inputs include 4 DV as well as four S-Video and four composite inputs. DV output allows for the preservation of the digital signal throughout the production process.
High Quality Digital Signal Processing
The MX-4DV features 10-bit (4:2:2) digital processing, which delivers the quality needed for the demands of digital content creation.
Color Correction
The MX-4DV provides RGB color correction to compensate for minor lighting imperfections or slight color differences between sources. Color correction parameters can be selected separately for each channel.
Special Effects
Over 700 effects, including curved and straight edged wipes, strobe, mosaic, flips, posterize, zooms and trails are included with the MX-4DV. The effects are logically grouped and easily accessible.
Built-in Audio Mixer
The MX-4DV's enhanced audio mixing capability provides on-screen slide controls and level meters and includes a background music feature that allows the manipulation of audio tracks independent of video.
Flexible Preview Display
All four source inputs can be viewed on one screen with the MX-4DV's flexible preview output. Or preview two sources with larger images on one screen. In any preview configuration, there is only need for one monitor for all source machines.
Internal Signal Generators
The MX-4DV features built-in color bar and black burst generators as well as a color generator that creates solid color backgrounds and borders from an unlimited color palette.
