Cokin Z-Pro Series Soft-Edge Graduated Neutral Density 0.9 Filter (3-Stop)
Key Features
  • For Cokin Z-Pro Series Holders
  • Up to 8x Filter Factor, 3 Stop
  • Reduce Exposure in Selective Areas
  • Soft-Edged Line of Transition
This Cokin Z-Pro Series Soft-Edge Graduated Neutral Density 0.9 Filter is designed for use with a Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder. It helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. A neutral density filter with a soft-edged line of transition is able to filter the sky while minimizing its effect on the land. It is particularly useful where the transition between sky and foreground is indeterminate, such as images featuring mist, fog, or the tops of trees. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and this filter provides up to a 3-stop reduction in light from entering a lens.

More usable than the Pro series!

The Z series is larger and works better with wide angle photos, using the Lee system mounting bracket and adapter and the Cokin filter, less expensive than the Lee filter and same material, happy with purchase.

Works great with my Lee holder and 5d III. Keep it clean and scratch free and you will get impressive results.

Because of it's large size, I can hand-hold this in front of any of my lenses without cutting off the corners.

Great quality

This is a well constructed filter. The size makes it easy to handle and control the level of filtering. The case is nice and makes it easy to carry.

I use this filter for both film and digital. Very satisfied with it although I need to use it sometimes with a 1 stop grad to take perfect sunset shots.

Great filter for the price!

Second one these I've purchased. I own a mix of Cokin, Lee & Hightech filters. I've had awesome results with the Cokin filters. My only gripe is the Cokin filter holder. There are plastic pins that hold the lens adaptor in place. The top one does not sit flush (at least on mine) and scratched my original filter. I've switched to another holder and have had no problems. If it weren't for the holder issue I'd give it 5 stars.

Does what it says
