Solar Filter: Are any Cokin filters suitable to safely view & photograph the sun? I'm gearing up for this August's solar eclipse.
Unfortunately, Cokin does not have any filters that are designed for solar photography usage. However, if you own the Cokin Z-PRO filter holder, which uses 4 x 4 (100mm x 100mm) filters, then the LEE Filters 100x100mm Solar Eclipse Filter, B&H # LESE100, would work in your filter holder for your photographic usage needs.

Just wondering if this filter is classified as soft, medium or hard edge? Thanks
It's not a graduated ND filter so there is no edge on it. The same amount of light is blocked across the entire ND filter.
