    Remote Audio EAR BUD reviews

EAR BUD - Single Clip-On Earphone is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nip It In the Bud I'm a mixer by trade, but every so often I'll come in as a Utility (A3) on a show. Wearing a set of 7506s while putting out fires on set can be quite cumbersome, but one must remain plugged in to keep an ear on the show and be ready to take direction from the mixer; the Remote Audio Ear Bud is just the thing for that. It's light enough that you will forget it's there, and since most IFB mixes are mono anyway, one earphone is enough, allowing you to keep an ear of your choice free to communicate with other crew on set. It's also cheap enough that if you crunch one (and you will), having spares around won't break the bank. They're fine for client IFB, but the limited fidelity wouldn't cut it for a wireless boom setup. If you're a shooter looking for something low profile, or you just need to listen *in* while still being able to listen *out*, consider the Ear Bud.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exactly What I Wanted Very comfortable. I don't like buds because they don't stay put and never seem to fit right. I needed an earphone for just one ear at work, and I needed it to stay in place when I move around. This was absolutely perfect, and comes with a couple of extra foam covers too. Precisely what I needed. Would give it 5 stars if the sound were just a tad better, but for the price it's great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Earpiece Great earpiece to use for production IFB's. Comtek, Lectrosonics, etc. Small and light weight for storage. Sounds Good. Inexpensive to replace if the director and producers break them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fills A Need I like to listen to audiobooks as I fall asleep, so stereo is not needed. This allows sleeping on either side by simply moving the earphone. I would have liked to have given the EAR BUD a higher rating, because it does fill a need. Reasons for the lower rating: 1. No instructions. Even though it seems simple enough, in fact there's a couple of things to know about using it. For example, the clip actually slides vertically which makes it possible to possible to position it correctly. I didn't know this, and initially it was very tight so I didn't discover this for a few days. 2. The clip itself is the wrong shape. It should be much narrower and rounded. 3. The cable is made from very cheap inflexible materials. Consequently, it doesn't drop out of your way and lay flat. I'm always having to tuck it away so it's not irritating. I was hoping that this would be a good replacement for Panasonic's Slim Earhook Headphones (these have better shaped clips, a flexible cable that lays flat, and costs a little less). As it turns out, the only real advantage is that, having just the one earphone, the cable doesn't get tangled up (which is the main disadvantage of the Panasonic). So, not what I had hoped for, but does fill a need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I wanted a single earphone for my iPhone/iPod that did not have an inside the ear speaker. I have very small ears that an inside the ear speaker does not fit in. The design of this earphone works great for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK, not comfortable For listen back. It's hard to fit on the ear, kept falling off and it's not comfirable. Also, this is my 2nd one. The last one broke less than 2 months. I bought it again because it's cheap.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice for the Price Use it when i walk my dog. I wanted to be able to listen to the ambient sounds and my phone. Works well for this. I wish the speaker were a little louder.
