    Hoya XD67PROTEC reviews

67mm Clear Pro 1 Digital Multi-Coated Glass Filter is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used Dept great condition, real Value This is one of Hoya's very good Digital Filters. I use it on a Nikon DX G Zoom. I want quality, good fit and threading and not too deep a rim but enough to hold a Snap-On Cap firmly. The rest of its designation tells you what it does - protection with multi-coat clarity for digital. Buying it in its original case in excellent condition from 'used' is just icing on the cake. Of those I've bought over a very long time, even given the other names mentioned, I'd choose Hoya for value and quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as promised This filter replaces another multicoated filter that I broke. I haven't done a side-by-side comparison of the optical transmission of the filters. Suffice to say, the quality of the image did not degrade at all using this filter. It was also 40% cheaper than the other multicoated filter I purchased. This keeps kid finger prints, sand, dust and water/salt spray off the front element. This is my 3rd filter breakage over 12 years and they're worth it every time. Otherwise, I would have been out over $1000 in damaged lenses. Things happen and these are worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lens protection! I am really impressed with this filter! The glass is crystal clear, and I notice no lens flare or ghosting while in use. The outer ring is very nicely made and threaded on my Canon 18-135mm lens easily and precisely, which is just what I would expect from a fine Japanese made product. This is actually a replacement for the exact same filter which was attached to my lens when It fell out of my safe onto the floor. The filter was destroyed, as it took the brunt of the fall, but threaded off easily with no damage whatsoever to the lens!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made, clear protective filter I bought this filter to protect my new lens and it seems to do the job perfectly without affecting the color of the image.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent filter This is my first filter for my first expensive lens(for me at least), the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 I wanted to get the clearest filter possible so as to not affect sharpness/contrast in my images. I tested this filter and can see no difference at all in the image, even zoomed in at 200%. It also feels nice and sturdy and is easy to clean. I'd much rather clean the filter than the lens front element. Fits on nice and snug so I know no dust will get on my lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best filter for night I use this filter with my 2.8 lens for indoor and night shooting when I don't need the UV filter. It's the same price of a HMC UV filter (97% of transparency) with superior quality (more light pass through it: 100%) and is cheaper than the Super HMC UV (99.7%). The result is that it reduces de glare and you get more light. A must have filter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 67mm Clear, Digital Multi-Coated Filter I bought this filter for the sole purpose of protecting my expensive lens. I was slightly worried that it might affect the picture quality, but it did not. -Low Profile -Easy Installation -No adverse affects on picture quality -Easy to remove and clean when needed
