The UA-101 from Edirol, is a half-rack, high-speed USB audio interface designed to turn a USB 2.0 ready computer into a powerful digital audio workstation. No other computer connection is required to get a full ten inputs and ten outputs at 24-bit/96kHz to the computer.
The interface is built to offer low latency, extraordinary stability and is easy to use yet powerful and compact.

Signal Router/Mixer Application
Includes a software application that allows one to route inputs to various outputs and adjust the input monitor mix. Allows the UA-101 to be reconfigured in a variety of ways without requiring any cable swapping or changes in the DAW

Allows for more freedom in setting recording levels and prevent clipping
40-Bit Internal Processing
The interface uses premium analog components that are perfectly matched to its A/D converters for incredible fidelity. All audio is processed internally at 40-bit resolution to ensure accurate recording

Offers both MIDI input and output to connect external MIDI devices to the DAW
Optical S/PDIF Input and Output
Channels 9 and 10 are dedicated S/PDIF digital channels, offering convenient connection to DAT, Minidisc, or other digital sources and destinations at up to 96kHz

Offers incredibly low latency through both WDM and ASIO 2.0 support for superior performance in the home studio
High-Speed USB (USB 2.0) and Full-Speed (USB 1.1) Compatible
Provides basic compatibility with USB 1.1. When connected through USB 1.1, the UA-101 functions as a stereo audio interface at 44.1 or 48kHz with any Win98 or later PC, or Mac OS 9 or Mac OS X computer. When connected to a computer running USB 2.0, the interface offers the full set of I/O options to the computer
