The Pelican 1506TSA Lock is a 3 digit combination lock that is TSA approved. This allows the checked luggage to remain protected, because the TSA baggage screeners have special codes and tools which will unlock it. They relock the bag after inspection. While designed for Pelican cases, this lock obviously will work with many other cases. It has a stainless steel hasp that does not corrode.

The combination lock works well but after only a few times flying with them I have no lost both. While it could be the TSA agents taking the lock off and not replacing, the second lock wire part was frilling so bad it was barely hanging on so this last trip Im pretty sure it just broke off. I would love to be able to contact the manufacturer and let them know if you are checking this thing for flights its made horribly. Also as others pointed out it doesnt work that well to keep the case closed fully.

question
How do you reset the combo for the lock?
First, turn the dials to the preset combination and align the numbers to the guide line. Then, Push the reset button with a pen (or other tool). Continue to hold until your desired numbers are set. (Do not let go of the button while setting the dials.) Lastly, Release the reset button. The lock is now set to your own combination.
