HamiltonBuhl MPC-5050 Reviews

Does not have clean sound. Poor radio.

The radio this unit is weak with muddy sound. The aux. input allows it to be used as a speaker system for a small laptop but the sound is not clear enough to make this use likely as an option. I would think that the retailer would have some kind of minimum quality standards that would keep product such as this out of the lineup.

Great small unit and plays tapes too!

I teach girl scouts during school holidays and need music for the dance programs. I needed a new boom box and still use audio tapes sometimes so this model is great. I would like it if it were a bit narrower overall in width but aside from that it is a great deal for the price.

question

Trying to play CD, all it does is spin then screen says NO & doesn't play. Tried several different CD's, same error displays. How do I fix this issue?

I had the same problem...fooled around and found you need to move the yellow button to middle then back to the right. Then, see the middle button in the 3-grouping on right face of player? Hit that once and it should bring up the number of tracks on the CD. Hit it once more and the first track should start playing. I'm not at my office to try but I think that's what I did. I'll double check tomorrow. Hope I helped.
