The Altman Gridiron Junction Box is a surface mount electrical device which is usually attached to the grid. It is used to connect wires within a conduit to the multi-conductor flexible cable which feeds strip lighting or connector strip devices. These boxes are available in many sizes and may be placed anyplace that requires wire connections.
