Panasonic PVGS35 Overview
One-Finger Menu Navigation
The thumb wheel allows you to access basic options like JPEG playback, memory-card recording, and tape recording quickly. A separate joystick allows for deeper navigation of menu features and camera controls.
30x Optical Zoom Lens
The PV-GS35's 30x optical zoom lens boasts a high-performance imaging advantage over the lens offerings of other Panasonic camcorders, and other brands' models.
FireWire Interface
The industry standard IEEE-1394 PC interface allows you to connect the PV-GS35 to a compatible computer for advanced editing. You can also make duplicates of your recordings without any loss in picture quality
Soft Skin Mode
This feature detects skin tones, and softens the focus in that area of the picture. Blemishes and lines appear less noticeable, while other areas in the picture remain sharp.
5 Mode Program AE (Auto Exposure)
You can prepare your camcorder for almost any recording condition by using the following automatic exposure settings: Sports Mode, Portrait Mode, Low Light, Spot Light, Surf & Snow.
MagicPix Images
A great way to record still images, even in low-light conditions. Now you can capture still images in full color onto the camcorder's mini DV tape.
PhotoShot digital still camera
The PhotoShot digital still camera feature lets you use the camcorder as a still camera. The PV-GS35 is also ready for a variety of multimedia applications and can easily serve as a web camera for videoconferencing.
Progressive PhotoShot Mode
This feature helps to eliminate fuzziness by capturing the image to a SD Card, and then temporarily storing the image in two separate fields. The two images of the exact same moment are then combined, with no time lag, to produce images of better quality than standard recorded stills.
Cinema Mode
The PV-GS35 allows you to record video in widescreen mode, giving you a 16:9 aspect ratio. When played back on a television, the result is dramatic looking cinema-like movies at home.
Zoom Mic
As you zoom in on the picture, the audio will also zoom in so you can better pinpoint sound sources.
Picture-in-Picture
Picture-in-Picture lets the user insert a previously taken digital still image into the video he's recording. The still image is taken using the PhotoShot feature, and appears on the right side of the video. The video and miniaturized still shot then appear together during playback.
RapidFire Consecutive Photoshot
Allows you to record still pictures at approximately 0.07 second intervals until the PhotoShot button is released or 16 pictures are recorded.
Built-in LED Light
A built-in LED light can be switched on to illuminate subjects in low-light shooting situations.
3 Hour Battery
A special 3-hour-battery attery provides about an hour more shooting/operating time than is found in the PV-GS31 and PV-GS19 models.
