Nord NMG2 Overview

The Clavia NORD MODULAR G2 advances that company's nearly quarter century of cutting-edge synthesizer manufacture, in the form of a 37-note keyboard designed for live or studio use, equipped with Aftertouch, 24/96 A/D and D/A converters, 5 LCD's(!), and an easily navigable array of rotary controls and dedicated buttons.

The NORD MODULAR G2 offers up a seamless meld of real-time controller keyboard design, and programming freedom, with a vast and versatile supply of synthesis architecture types and parameters to choose from. The companion cross-platform editor/librarian sofware is designed as a low-load, visually stimulating GUI for patching together the various programming "modules", and sending instructions back to the keyboard, where the "hard" processing actually takes place.

The NORD MODULAR G2 is a challenging instrument that should satisfy passionate professional musicians and sound designers with it's adventurous technology and sonic detail.

Modular virtual synthesis configurable sound architecture, combines building blocks (Modules) with sound generation and processing into Patches; modules support subtractive, additive, FM, physical modeling synthesis techniques with full FX processing
Over 160 Modules organized in 16 categories: In/Out, Note, Osc, LFO, Random, Envelope, Shaper, Filter, Mixer, Switch, Level, Logic, Sequencer, FX, Delay, and MIDI.
Morphing technology for control of multiple parameters from one source (modulation wheel, aftertouch, etc.) with abilityto set range for each parameter individually
Effects Processing and Programmable Mixing/Routing
128 Performance programs with up to 4 Patches and internal buss mixing/routing
Dedicated Effect Area with Effect Modules including Reverb, Chorus, Flanger, EQ, Pitch Shifter, Compressor, Noise Gates and Delays
Audio Bussing includes: 4 channels of audio from Voice Area to Effect Area, 4 channels of audio between the 4 Patches in a Performance, 4 channels/buses of audio to physical Output connectors of the instrument(fully assignable), and 4 channels/buses of audio Input
