On-Stage DS7200C Overview

  • 1Description

The On-Stage DS7200C is a desktop microphone stand. It's suitable for boardroom meetings, broadcast applications, press use, or any situation where you'd want to put a straight microphone on a desk. It'll even work in scenarios that don't require desks at all; do you have a kick drum or guitar cabinet that needs miking? The DS7200C can come in handy.

A die-cast steel clutch allows you to extend the range from 9 to 13" and the removable shaft is styled in a snazzy chrome finish. The base, which boasts nonslip rubber feet for stability, is black. It features a 5/8"-27 solid threaded end.

    On-Stage DS7200C Reviews

DS7200C Adjustable Height Desktop Mic Stand (Chrome) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 52.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product If you're looking for an adjustable desktop stand, this is the one to get. It is affordable, sturdy, and does not take up much space. It will attach to an AT2035 with the stock AT shock mount out of the box and is nowhere near tipping over. Easily able to attach any typical pop filter as well. No reason to spend more for this same category.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from On Stage Mic Stand I use this stand as a voiceover artist during longer narration sessions and audiobooks. The height adjustment is perfect and easily accommodates both my vocal and shotgun microphones. Also, this little stand is HEAVY in the best possible way providing a very sturdy foundation -- it truly takes center stage. I bought an adapter with it as well for about a buck and all told, I can't imagine a better value for what I needed. Truly, no negative feedback on this one -- sorry!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good mike stand, but... There is nothing wrong with this stand in general. Seems to be a good one; however, I got it as part of the podcasting package .... The reason I give it 4 stars, instead of 5, is that it is not quite heavy enough to handle the Samson C01U Mic in it spiderstand. It works, but is not as stable as it would be if it were heavier and/or wider at the base. This is not a show stopper, but I would prefer a more solid-feeling solution.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great addition to my kit This is a great little stand for the price, I love that it breaks down and the base is heavy enough to hold a mic with a softie on it without falling over which is nice. I don't like that the the pole threads into the base as it could potentially get cross threaded but overall I would recommend this product and it fits in my audio production bag nicely once collapsed and disassembled.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for a table/counter This product is good, because it can reach about double it's height when fully extended. Therefore, it is not as limiting as it may seem. I use this product on my working desk for my Blue Bluebird microphone. I simply attach the shock mount onto the stand and voila it does what it is supposed to do. The base is sturdy, so the mic has not fallen even once.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stable and compact I record open mics and the one certain thing is that before it's all over there will be different amps to mic and a mess of cables all over the floor. This stand is great for quick height adjustments but still keeps out of the way, e..g, so it's not kicked out of position when everything is set up in tight quarters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, but functional This is the ideal item to use with a wireless mic and then sit it on a desk or table top. We use our in our board room. We have it sitting on a desk so that the recording secretary can read back the minutes if needed. Makes it easy for her to read without having to pick up the mic everytime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I own two, and would add 3 or 4 more. In buying a mic stand, you look for two things: Stability Construction This one does well in both. I've never tipped either over, wobbled it, or felt like my mic didn't stay put. If you're looking for a stand to use for your non permanent studio, I'd highly recommend it.
