Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not sure how this reduces shock - WTH? I gave it a star because it holds a mic and threads onto a stand. But how does this prevent transmission of shock-related noise? The hollowed out portion of the plastic just makes it a weak mic clip. Don't think that the mount is rubberized and it floats on this ingenious, flexible system. The portion between the mic mount and stand mount is made of the same plastic as the clip itself, to me there is NO WAY this absorbs any SHOCK. If it reduces shock it is on the order of tenths of one percent. Thank goodness I bought this USED, or I would be out 4 more bucks. No reflection on B&H, but this product is NOT what it claims to be. Disappointing is an understatement

Rated 4 out of 5 by from On a budget? This is your shockmount I'm an indie filmmaker, and since we don't have a lot of money, yet, we use the painters poles and these little jobs to hang the shotgun mics. They're awesome for the price. They're not a proper shockmount either, so don't expect miracles. But they made a huge difference in cutting back noise on location.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent mount for the price This is a decent shock mount considering the price. You get what you pay for. The mic clip is connected to the stand mount by a plastic strip, not rubber or other soft material. It is better than a standard clip, but not as good as a real shock mount. Better clips are available for just a few dollars more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Shock Mount for the Price This is a great little shock mount for the price. I mostly use for studio and it is on a stationary boom. But I am sure it works ok if you have some motion. Probably not best for run and gun situations but will work in a pinch and for the price you can't go wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It holds a shotgun mic! Cheaply! I purchased this shock-mount to hold a shotgun mic. More specifically I got this to affix on the end of a boom pole. It works great. It holds the mic steady. It screws onto things. It's cheap. What more can I need? Lots, but that's beyond this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice product wish The product is good but it didn't fit the small diameter shotgun mic I have so I'll have to jury rig it. But overall it's a good price and solidly made.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good mount Needed a mount for a handheld mic that had a large diameter. The rubberized collars on each end are flexible enough to fit any sized mike in a snug fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little invention For the little amount of money these babies really work. No more thuds or booms from the mic stands being hit. They do what they say they do.
