7" Boom with Clutch and Clamp is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dual Mic Solution I use this boom to add a second mic onto my vocal mic stand. It allows me to have dual vocal mics in adjusted positions, therefore enabling me to see to switch floor pedals while singing. It is very high quality, especially for the modest price. It made solving my problem, quite easy. The only odd thing is a small clear rubber (silicone?) dowel protruding from the center of the securing bolt. It is intended to soften the contact with your stand and limit scarring. I found it to cause me to question the security of the clamp's grasp. I'll cut it off before using the stand live. All in all, excellent addition to my custom arsenal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built Mic Boom for a great price This mic boom is designed to be used to mic an acoustic guitar (or such) while the main, top mic is used for vocals. I use it to hold a pre-amp for my upright bass. The pre-amp has a mic thread on the bottom and this allows me easy access to adjust my volume and tone. It can be clipped either to a mic stand or to a music stand. Very impressive little product. Solidly built.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Short Boom Works Well This little boom functions exactly as one would expect; there are no short comings. I use two of them on a project where I have to elevate a pair of mic's 18', the pole used is electrical conduit. Naturally most people will use it to attach a mic to a pole such as a music stand or the lower portion of mic stand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simplify I don't know why I didn't buy this earlier. One less large mic stand to haul around when playing gigs makes my life so much easier. I usually sing and play an instrument simultaneously, so I use this for miking acoustic instruments, (guitar, drums, etc), clamped onto a boom stand for vocals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple solutions are best. I bought 2 of these rather than plunking out almost $ on a Blumlein bar for X/Y and other stereo recording techniques. Clamped to a strong and stable mic stand, they work perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Versatile. It allowed me to be able to use just one mic stand to hold 2 microphones. It has a large range of positioning and adjusting. It is great.
