Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just What I Needed I had an old hand-me-down rack system that was just big and bulky, even though I only have a few rack-mounted items. In an effort to make some room in the already tiny studio, I thought I'd give the desktop rack a try.I was a bit worried from just looking at the photo...it doesn't really seem like it could hold that kind of weight. But the reviews persuaded me, so I took the plunge...and I'm glad I did!Not only has the rack saved me a ton of space, but it just looks good on the desk. Because of the smaller footprint, I can move it closer to my workstation, which has been a huge benefit already.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes a good network Rack I was building a home Cisco lab for CCNP studies, and needed a small, no frills rack to keep the equipment organized. I saw this rack advertised on a few network supplies websites, and it fit my needs perfectly. The rack is very stable considering how much equipment I have on it. The assembly directions are scant, but it is very easy and fast to assemble. Rack gets off balance quite easily, so one needs to distribute their equipment evenly. The extra bar at the top is a major plus in terms of stability, as it keeps the rails together. Also makes a good handle. The slanted rails are a little annoying as your equipment is slanted, though this was done out of necessity to improve stability. All of the assembly screws are thumb screws, so they are easy to adjust, though they do get loose over time. Only advertised to hold 150lbs, so if you have a lot of heavy equipment, this rack is probably not a good choice. My equipment totals around 90-100lbs, and it is easy to see why it can't hold more than that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid, No Frills This is a desktop rack stand. I use it in a video editing suite to hold a couple of tape decks on rack shelves plus a video interface. It is very simple in design, two rack rails, a base and a top rail for stability. Easy to put together and yet sturdy. The only issue I have is that it is designed at a angle that I think could be slightly more perpendicular. That doesn't affect the overall usefulness of the product, it is only a personal preference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not just for audio gear As an A/V enthusiast and a Cisco Academy student, I'm currently using this to hold some basic A/V gear and Cisco 2500 series routers. The unit seems very stable so far and is more versatile than I had expected. It is also comfortable to lift even with a large amount of equipment mounted. A much better alternative to just having equipment stacked. Ability to disassemble or fold is a major advantage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just about perfect I just needed something to hold a small number of rack mounted modules (fire wire interfaces and a headphone amp/distributor). Worked really well, solid footing. Couldn't really ask for or expect more. By far the most affordable rack mount option I found too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and Solid Want a rack? Don't need to move it? Don't want to get taken to the cleaners? Buy this thing. It's a strong, sturdy, simple rack. It goes together in just a few minutes and you're ready to stash your gear. A smart buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice - Does what you expect. Stable, even when pretty well loaded with heavy equipment. As others have mentioned, the bottom level is for short items only.
