Panasonic KX-HCM110A Overview

The Panasonic KX-HCM110A is a network camera with a built-in microphone. Attaching an optional amplified speaker enables two-way communication between the camera and a PC. This makes it ideal for applications such as monitoring a baby room or for installation at the entrance of your house to see and hear who is at the front door. The camera can be accessed for viewing and control by logging on to the WEB and entering the camera's IP address using a PC, PDA or even a compatible cell phone. Remote access allows you to view 4 moving images on one screen with 2-way audio capabilities for each camera as well as complete control to activate the fast pan and tilt feature of each camera. The camera can be easily switched to privacy mode by pressing a button on the camera. An orange blinking comes on indicating that the camera is now off the network.

The KX-HCM110A is wall, ceiling, desk or tripod mountable using supplied accessories.

Network
The camera connects to the network via Ethernet and does not require a local PC. You can easily assign a domain name for the camera by using a free hosting site such as viewnetcam.com and create an easy to remember name like bob.viewnetcam.com.
Two-Way Audio
A built in microphone allows the camera to monitor and record sound. An optional amplified speaker enables 2-way communication between the camera and a PC user. This makes it ideal for applications such as monitoring a baby's room or for installation in your home entrance so you can see and hear who's at the front door.
Note:
Audio feature does not work on cell phones.
Remote Access
Once connected, the camera can be viewed and all its controls accessed by logging on the WEB using a PC, PDA or even a compatible cell phone. In addition, up to 12 non moving images can be viewed on one screen with the ability to use the 10x zoom to bring objects of interest into close view.
Pan/Tilt
The camera features a fast pan and tilt including 8 presets. The camera can be programmed to move to 8 different position through a time period and will quickly move to an alarm position when triggered by an event such as a person entering the room or when a light is turned on.
Privacy Mode
Privacy mode can be activated by a button on the camera. An orange blinking light comes on, indicating that the camera is now off the network. Privacy mode can also be activated remotely from a PC, using password authentication.
