I am needing a translation booth. Would this be as effective in preventing sound from leaking out?
This TableTop Vocal Booth is made more to cut outside noise from leaking in by 50%, primarily for studio recording applications. I surmise that it could work for a translation scenario if there is not too much background noise.

How quiet is the room? What is the noise floor? What are the specs on the fan? How much noise does it make?
The manufacturer has not published any of the spec's you are inquiring about. The only spec's they have are Sound Reduction: 50-60%. You would have to call ClearSonic for any additional spec's.

Is it fully sealed off? Are their any openings or gaps? Does the roof cover the entire booths perimeter?
The Isopac J features two 4 section acrylic panels. These are not air tight. The lid is comprised of 3 pieces and will cover the perimter or the panels. Sound will enter and escape. This is not a sound proof booth. It is an isolation booth. Capable of a 60 -70% sound reduction.

How portable is this? Can it be broken down into pieces that fit in an average sized suitcase? I see from other questions that it weighs about 40 lbs, but what is the smallest possible SIZE of the item when it needs to be transported?

It is not sound proof from outside. The sound is dampened but not sound proof.

Looking at the picture does it have plexiglass or something to keep it enclosed?
The ClearSonic IsoPac E uses a combination of clear acrylic panels and hinged absorption panels in order to form the booth structure.

What does this desk top booth weigh?
Unfortunately Clearsonic does not offer a weight for the booth, however the shipping weight is 40 lbs, including outer box and packing materials.
