The IsoPac G is a portable, small sized vocal/voice-over booth that can also function as an instrument isolation system. The booth has a 4' diameter and is suitable for a single person. It consists of a six-section clear acrylic panel system (A5-6,) six 12" height extender panels (AX12,) and six SORBER baffles (S2) that form a "rear wall." A lid system and fan complete the kit.

The IsoPac G is easy to get in and out of. Since SORBER panels don't actually connect to the ClearSonic Panels, one can simply use an outside section of a SORBER system as a "door." The booth is not intended to be air tight or sound proof. It is recommend to leave air gaps on either side of the lid panels and above the S2 back units to allow for air exchange.

All SORBER products have a Class-A fire rating.

Is this collapsable when not in use?

The IsoPac G is able to be disassembled and stored when not in use. The 6 section acrylic front is hinged which allows it to be folded, the top is removable as well as the included acoustic panels.

just how much does this reduce sound? Specifically, would this be enough to allow trumpet practice in a townhouse without mobs of angry neighbors storming the door with blazing torches? :)

Where is the door?

It is essentially a long folding screen that you make into a both by bringing the two ends together. One of the two ends is the door. in order to ensure that the door slides open easily I went out and bought one of those plastic sheets you put under a desk chair to protect your floor. It works very well that way. The booth is very effective cutting out background noise though, full disclosure, I had tried sound proofing an entire room previously and had a bunch of sound reducing foam left over from that, for added effectiveness, I covered the whole booth with those (attaching them with velcro.) So, it in that condition that I say it is very good. I didn't try it before I did that.
